Jan Agelink
Jan Agelink – trend forecaster & presenter
Jan has been working as a trend forecaster since 1994.
He combines a clear analysis of global and local trends with talent for selecting stunning visuals. His view on the future is valuable for industries like fashion, lifestyle, design, health, interiors, retail and food.
Jan connects trends from the six ‘big drivers’ in our world – technology, art & culture, demographics, economy, politics, ecology – and turns them into food for thought.
He advises companies with concepts that connect brand values with relevant socio-cultural trends.
With his team, Jan Agelink creates tailor-made trend forecasts and trend books for organisations and brands. Twice a year, he organises ‘open to public’ trend forecast presentations. These events are attended by designers, strategists, CEO’s and marketeers from international brands, as well as retailers, teachers, students and researchers.

Birgit Muis
Birgit Muis – senior forecaster & colour specialist
Birgit Muis is a senior trend forecaster with over 25 years of experience and worked together with Jan Agelink since they met at the Dutch Fashion Instituut in 1993. Together they have made many trendpresentation for a very diverse audience from kidswear, footwear, home wear and several departmentstores. She is a teacher at AMFI
( Amsterdam Fashion Institute ) where she coordinates the HYPERCRAFT minor and is a mentor for graduate students.
Marre Smit
Marre Smit – new media & trend manager
Marre is a trend forecaster who focusses on consumer trends and how to apply them in your everyday business. She has extensive knowledge in online marketing and new media and focusses mainly on the production of futureland within our agency.
Rosa Mol
Rosa Mol – trend researcher & designer
Rosa is a trend forecaster with a diverse background in the field of design. Graduated from art school, she is both a researcher and designer/maker. For Buro jantrendman she detects & visualizes global trends as wel as the latest developments in fashion, craft & design.
Rachel Singer
Rachel Singer – trend researcher & stylist
Rachel studied fashion styling & forecast at Academie Artemis in Amsterdam where she excelled in visualizing the future of denim fashion. She is an experienced trend researcher and visualiser who currently lives and works in Berlin.
